Premium mobility in West Africa: Eagle Travel and Logisticand FasterCapital lead the way.

Eagle Travel and Logistic SARL (ETL), a young Beninese company specialising in high-end intercity transport, has entered into a strategic partnership with FasterCapital through its EquityPilot programme.
This alliance aims to accelerate its development and make it a major player in premium mobility in West Africa.
The challenge is considerable. In the sub-region, the intercity transport sector generates more than $500 million, driven by rapid urbanisation, the boom in tourism and dynamic trade. However, the service often falls short of the expectations of an increasingly demanding clientele. Between chronic delays, discomfort and a lack of technological integration, the current offering struggles to meet the needs of travellers seeking reliability and comfort. It is this gap that ETL intends to fill, with a value proposition designed to appeal to professionals, tourists and business travellers.

At the helm of this initiative, Frobenius Joël Gangbo has a clear vision: to make excellence the norm and transform intercity transport from a simple service into an experience. “Our ambition is to transform the perception of travel in West Africa. We want to offer much more than just a journey: an immersive,
comfortable and safe experience that values our customers’ time and expectations,” he explained. This promise will be realised in a fleet of latest-generation Volvo coaches. state-of-the-art technology, featuring ergonomic seats with massage function, 5G Wi-Fi, individual screens and refined on-board
service including hot and cold refreshments.

The whole experience will be orchestrated by an integrated digital ecosystem, enabling bookings via a web platform, a mobile app and an intelligent chatbot on WhatsApp, ensuring fluidity and real-time tracking.

For a market long dominated by traditional operators, this For a market long dominated by traditional operators, this approach marks a break with the past.

ETL aims, from its first year of operation, to establish itself on strategic routes such as Cotonou-Parakou, Cotonou-Abidjan and Lagos-Accra, with the goal of capturing 35% of the market share. This growth is based on a rapid expansion strategy supported by FasterCapital, which provides ETL with much more than
just financing.

Hesham Zreik, CEO and founder of FasterCapital, emphasised its significance: “Eagle Travel and Logistics perfectly illustrates the type of innovation we want to support: a bold vision, a solid model and a clear response to an unmet need. This partnership gives them the means to establish themselves as a regional
leader.”

Joining the EquityPilot programme provides privileged access to a global network of investors, experts and mentors, giving ETL the resources it needs to structure its growth. In the short term, this support will enable the acquisition of additional vehicles, the deployment of advanced digital tools and the preparation of a $25 million fundraising campaign to finance the expansion of the fleet and logistics infrastructure.

But beyond the operational side, a long-term vision is taking shape. Frobenius Joël Gangbo is projecting ETL onto a trajectory that extends beyond Benin’s borders to make it a key player in West African transport.

The company plans, over the next three years, to expand its fleet to 24 buses, integrate luxury vehicle rental services and broaden its offering to include parcel transport, thereby responding to the growing demand for integrated, high-quality logistics. This partnership with FasterCapital is the culmination of a strategic ambition.

Building a model where mobility becomes synonymous with prestige and efficiency. Although this is a bold challenge, it reflects a regional dynamic where competitiveness is now driven by innovation and customer experience.

In an environment marked by changing lifestyles and increasingly open markets, ETL embodies the desire to bring about a new generation of operators capable of elevating inter-city transport to the status of a strategic and modern industry. By focusing on technology, operational excellence and a confident premium positioning, ETL aspires not only to fill a void, but also to put Benin and West Africa on the global map of leading mobility solutions.

This ambition is now more tangible than ever thanks to the partnership.
